Deep Young Author Project Spring 2023
by Deep Center Youth Authors
A semester of writing in one handy book. Authors from three schools share their tales and poetry on the bittersweet, precious, pressure, and horror. Hear tales of the ocean, telephone calls with Grandma, angels, panic attacks, and more.
— Simon Traub-Epstein, International Library of Young Authors
From the publisher: “Another semester in the books! Excuse the silly pun, but at Deep sometimes silliness is the path to sincerity. These books do have a whole semester of wonderful work within. Within the ten weeks in which we are blessed to embrace the minds and imaginations of Savannah's young folks, magic does happen. We've seen shy young writers open their wings-and their notebooks—to soar high off the thrill of reading their own work in front of their friends and Writing Fellow mentors. We've seen young leaders discover their voices and step up as future activists. And most importantly, we've seen young folks walk into our workshops unsure if they can even call themselves writers, only to walk out a few months later as published authors.
