Grimm Artefacts: Bishops House

by Grimm & Co Youth Authors

Grimm & Co writers teamed up with three mediums to uncover the secrets of one of Sheffield's oldest houses. In the darkest corners, ancient objects sit where 17th-century witch hunters once roamed. Hear of banquets, cowboy boots, crossbows, dolls, geese, and creaky floorboards...

— Simon Traub-Epstein, International Library of Young Authors

From the publisher: “This project was a collaboration between Grimm & Co (Rotherham) and Bishops' House Museum (Sheffield). In the gloomy late winter of 2022, these brave young writers from around South Yorkshire visited the house after hours to explore its secrets with the help of Bishops' House volunteer and archaeologist, Ken. Questions were raised, imaginations were sparked, and the writers spent the following six weeks developing these stories inspired by the objects in the house. The project culminated in a live tour of the house, where the writers worked with professional actors to bring the stories to life.”
