From the publisher: “The Story Seeds project first sprouted in 2021, a collaboration between Fighting Words, An Garda Siochána Community Engagement Teams in Dublin, the Garda Juvenile Liaison Officer, Drogheda Garda Station and local schools - new stories to celebrate the areas where we all live, work and play. The idea was that the first school would write the first chapter of a story, the next class would write the second chapter and so on. The first hugely successful collection was published in June 2021 with primary schools on the north side of Dublin, followed by two further collections in Dublin South and Dublin West. The collection you hold in your hands now was written by schools in and around Drogheda, Co. Louth, with the assistance of the Garda Juvenile Liaison Officer at Drogheda Garda Station in the spring of 2022. We think you will agree that each story is full of action and fun starring a huge range of inventive characters in adventures from the round tower at Monasterboice to St. Dominic’s Park from the shops in West Street to the River Boyne and everywhere in between.
