Summer Anthology 2009

by Austin Bat Cave Youth Authors

This anthology centers around art, history, and everyday life. Poems, stories, plays, and questions on paintings and museums await. Hear from a soda machine, a talking floor, even a toothpick.

— Simon Traub-Epstein, International Library of Young Authors

From the publisher: “In our third year of summer writing camps, Austin Bat Cave explored the world of art at the Blanton Museum of Art and the cultural history of our immediate neighbors in Clarksville. During two weeks in July and August, we asked young writers to engage both their imaginations and senses of inquiry to learn more about these important places in our city. In response, our fired-up band of writers investigated, imagined, created, and wrote. And then wrote some more.”
