Through a Kaleidoscope

by Write Around Portland Community Authors

Write Around Portland believes that anyone can be a writer. In that vein, they work with schools, prisons, youth shelters, senior citizen centers, and more. In this anthology, work from youth authors sits comfortably side-by-side with authors of all ages in the Portland community. Write Around Portland's 60th anthology explores hiking, gratitude, loss, memory, joy, Toaster Man, and writing prompts for the reader to share their own story.

— Simon Traub-Epstein, International Library of Young Authors

From the publisher: “Through a Kaleidoscope features writing by participants in workshops that took place in spring 2023. To celebrate the publication of this, our sixtieth book, we've included a journal section with writing prompts from this season's workshop facilitators and participants. Write Around Portland volunteer Earl Dizon and novelist Omar El Akkad wrote the introductions.”
